  • Display of John Cage mushroom-related manuscripts at Bard Stevenson Library (2nd Floor; click for map)

  • John Cage “Photo Booth” for selfies (by the Montgomery Place mansion)

  • John Cage Silence Walk, a self-guided walk for contemplation with quotes about sound, silence, and listening by John Cage (Saw kill Trail)

  • Mushroom Display from Tivoli Mushrooms

8:30am–10:45: MushRoom Foraging with LUke Sorrantonio

10:30am–12:30pm: Lichen Workshop with Roseann Tomko

Sign up at Visitor Center (note: workshop limited to 18 people)

11:30am–12:30pm: Mushroom Identification & Mushroom Sandwich Boxed LUnchEs

Boxed lunches, which will be served by the mansion, feature a portobello mushroom sandwich, bottle of water, chips, cookie, and a piece of fruit.

NOTE: Boxed lunches, which are $13 each, MUST be ordered in advance by DATE.

  • 2:30pm: History of the Mushroom talk with Luke Sarrantonio

  • 3:00pm: Performance by Mike Jones of John Cage’s “Child of Tree” simultaneous with a reading by Phil Pardi from Cage’s “Mushroom et Variationes” performance text

  • 3:30pm: Deep Imagination Mushroom Circle with Gabriela D’Elia
