On April 23rd, 2026, the John Cage Trust, in partnership with Bard College's Stevenson Library, presented an open curatorial workshop to demonstrate John Cage's chance procedural methods as well as to select--using chance--objects from lists collected from 22 different collections across Bard College. The selected items were chosen to be exhibited in Cagecircle, a chance-determined exhibition opening at Stevenson Library on June 27th, 2026 as part of Upstate Art Weekend.
On Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026, on CHANCE ENCOUNTERS WITH JOHN CAGE — Poetry Month Edition — poets Anne Tardos, Charles Bernstein, and Craig Dworkin discussed Cage and the work of Jackson Mac Low, their mutual influences, and read from Mac Low's work.
February 2026 on CHANCE ENCOUNTERS WITH JOHN CAGE: Curator/Choreographer Sue Schroeder and Curator Hugo Worthy discuss residue, what remains, an exhibition and performance program at the Leicester Gallery, UK, including talk on Cage, Fluxus, art, and performance.
