Comments
This version of Cheap Imitation is based on the original version for piano. Basically, the same questions are asked: Which of the seven 'white note' modes is to be used? Beginning on which of the twelve chromatic notes? Which of the notes of given transpositions is to be used? The intonation for the violin version is Pythagorean. The performer should be reminded to play without vibrato, but not to apply this rule too strictly.
